While activism against abortion is one of the main focuses of the pro-life movement, the term "pro-life" is indicative that all life matters. All life is sacred. All life is of value. This doesn't change because of age. This doesn't change because of race. No matter who you are or where you are, your life is a beautiful thing.

However, it won't always feel that way. Did you know that approximately every 40 seconds, someone in the world will commit suicide? Close to 800,000 commit suicide annually around the globe -- and that's just an approximation based on collectible data (WHO).

The lives of suicide victims matter. Your life matters. The lives of those you love are important.

How can you help?

Notice warning signs of suicide in the individuals around you. Some of the most common warning signs of suicide are:

- depression

- lack of interest in regular activities/hobbies

- talk of or fascination with death

- withdrawal from friends and family

- negative/harsh self-talk

- bestowing mementos or belongings to other people as a way to say goodbye

- uncharacteristic, dangerous behavior

- feelings of hopelessness and loneliness

These are only a few of the warning signs, but if you recognize any of these symptoms in yourself or others, call the national suicide hotline at 800-273-8255 immediately.

Share messages of hope and healing with the people around you. In a world where we already have enough conflict and enough suffering, be a light to your friends and family, your peers and coworkers. You never what battle someone is fighting against themselves on the inside.

Remember: you, and every beautiful thing inside you that you're going to create and do and become, matters.
